Rustic Peoria wedding with navy blue and white color scheme
Ceremony // Living Home Community Church
Reception // American Legion Bartonville
It was a beautiful day for a Peoria wedding! Megan and Shawn were married on a late October day in Bartonville, Illinois. I pulled up to the church and my eye was immediately drawn to some really pretty trees in the background that were the perfect shades of Fall colors. I knew we had to use that area for portraits after the ceremony. We even had some pretty golden hour light for the pictures!
After the ceremony we headed over to the Bartonville Legion. I loved all the candlelight, it made for some really beautiful lighting and background for some detail shots while setting a really romantic, ambient atmosphere. So many favorite moments from this wedding but the kiddos stealing the cupcakes cracked me up and really spoke to my soul!
Here are some of my favorite’s from Megan and Shawn’s wedding!

I absolutely loved this Meson Sabika wedding! This is one of my favorite wedding venues in the Chicago suburbs. The mansion itself is gorgeous, with a fountain and tons of pretty flowers. Plus, the food is amazing!
Becky and Tom are the sweetest couple and I am so thankful for the opportunity to photograph their wedding!
Hair and makeup by Christina Marie at La Vita di Sposa.

Cooper’s Hawk Wedding
This was my first Cooper’s Hawk wedding, and as a wine lover, I totally loved it there! So much so that I signed up for their Wine Club.
There are so many special things about Cari and John’s wedding day that made it unique to me. They decided to have a First Look, which is something I always love photographing. First Looks are sometimes emotional and I love the privacy in seeing each other before the ceremony.
Cari kept a wedding journal and presented it to John after their First Look which was very sweet and sentimental. They were married in a winery and toasted with wine glasses during their ceremony. Her bouquet was wrapped with lace from her mother’s wedding gown. The ring box was made in the town they were engaged in.
The list goes on and on but topping the list was the fact that Cari and John are both super sweet people and so much fun to be around. They were also married on an absolutely beautiful October day full of Fall colors.

I instantly knew I would love Amy and Jacob when they suggested we meet at Chinatown for a wedding consultation. I absolutely love Chinese food and knew immediately that these two people would be amazing. My instincts proved true, as Amy and Jacob are two of the kindest people I have ever met. I was incredibly honored to photograph their wedding last October.
I loved the vibrant colors of the bouquets which complemented the beautiful blue bridesmaid dresses. The bridal party was a lot of fun, up for a bunch of silly poses, which always makes for some great candid photos afterwards.
Amy and Jacob opted for a First Look before the ceremony, which was done right outside their venue, Grace Lutheran Church in River Forest, Illinois. The church was a beautiful backdrop for photos, inside and out, and we lucked out with some amazing Fall colors and weather. The famous venue Fitzgerald’s Nightclub was their reception choice – a Bon Jovi music video was filmed there as well as a scene from A League of Their Own. Here are a few of my favorites from Amy and Jacob’s wedding!

I am so lucky to have such fun and amazing clients. These are two of the most genuine, warm, caring people I have ever met. You can feel their love in the way they look at each other and it absolutely showed in their photos. This wedding was memorable for so many reasons – it was my very first Greek wedding, there was an awesome live band at the reception, and my most favorite memory is that the bride sang with her dad while he played guitar. Her voice is as beautiful as she is! Check out my favorite photos from Jenna and Josh’s October wedding.
