Ryan and Stephanie’s wedding last Fall was one of my favorites. It was a gorgeous day, a beautiful bride who was relaxed and full of smiles, a relaxed and fun couple, and a super funny bridal party. The Best Man’s speech is one I will remember for years to come 🙂
The couple chose to have a First Look before the ceremony at Morton Arboretum. The trees had just started to turn colors for the season, which made a gorgeous backdrop for photos. Here are a few of my favorites from their October wedding.
Seriously Stephanie… you were such a beautiful bride!
Thank you so much for choosing me to be your wedding photographer! I wish you a lifetime of happiness together 🙂
This wedding was a very special one for me. I have been photographing part of the groom’s family for a few years now and to be asked to photograph his wedding based on that meant a lot to me to begin with. Then I found out that Kaitlyn and Dan were getting married in the very same place I got married and that took it to a whole new level. So this wedding was definitely sentimental to me for a few reasons.
Kaitlyn was absolutely stunning, and I especially loved the pops of colors in her bridesmaids dresses and her bouquets. Here are some of my favorites from their beautiful Fall wedding at Starved Rock.
Congratulations Kaitlyn and Dan, it was an honor to photograph your wedding! I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
Julia and Danny were married on a perfect Fall day at Whitetail Ridge Golf Club. The sun was shining, there were white puffy clouds in the blue sky, warm with a slight breeze. It was a beautiful day for an outdoor ceremony. In addition, I LOVED the color palette for this wedding. The colors were navy blue, pinks, and gold. The reception looked stunning! Also, I have a thing for photographing wedding details and this wedding did not disappoint! Every part of this wedding blended together so seamlessly, from the colors, to the table runners, even the cake.
Also, can we talk about First Looks? First Looks are so special, I am always so excited when I learn the couple will be having one. There’s nothing like capturing some private emotions when they see each other for the first time.
Congratulations Julia and Danny on a beautiful wedding! I was so honored to photograph one of the most important days of your lives.

This was my first same sex wedding and I freakin’ LOVED it!
As a photographer who absolutely LOVES photographing the details, there really isn’t anything better than having two brides. Two dresses, two sets of rings, two bouquets, all my favorite things to photograph were doubled. I was in my own photography Heaven.
What I loved most about photographing Elizabeth and Kristin’s wedding was all the laughter. They laughed with their friends, with their families, but most often with each other.
I was truly honored to photograph my very first same sex wedding. It was even more special for me because I went to school with both brides. It is always the very highest compliment I can receive when old friends ask me to document important moments in their lives.
Elizabeth and Kristin, it is clear to anyone that you have a beautiful love and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.

Rustic Barn Wedding in Dover, Wisconsin
The Farm at Dover is a beautiful and unique venue with a big red barn and absolutely gorgeous outdoor spaces. The perfect venue for Kaitlyn’s wedding vision. What I love most about Kaitlyn and Rocky’s love story is that they were brought together with the most perfect timing.
Meeting by happenstance, they weren’t quite ready for each other or love yet. Kaitlyn moved to a new city, finished grad school, followed her passions, while keeping in touch with Rocky. When you start doing what you want and fulfilling yourself that’s when we become capable of attracting love. Before long, they were planning their lives together.
Casual and carefree was what they wanted in a venue. Something that was different from the traditional venue and really spoke to them. Many personal details were incorporated into their day, including love quotes that resonated with them and their relationship.
It also ended up being a beautiful day, the chance of rain and storms disappeared as the day went on. Later that day, the sun peeked out for a few photos too. Overall, it was the perfect day.
