Not to be overly dramatic, but I am obsessed with birth photography. This was my very first time documenting a birth and I am in LOVE with it! I love telling the story of the day a new life came into the world. C-Section photography is starting to become more welcome in hospitals now, which is really awesome. Births are such a beautiful experience to photograph. Because of the new popularity in birth sessions, it’s nice to see that hospitals are getting on board with documenting both vaginal and now C-section births. I am SO excited to start my birth photography journey!
It was an honor to be allowed in the OR at Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Illinois, for C-Section photography. Birth photography is such a surreal and powerful experience. Mollie and Brian, I am so thankful you allowed me to tag along and watch your daughter being born. It was absolutely incredible.
Welcome to the world, Elsie!

Rustic Peoria wedding with navy blue and white color scheme
Ceremony // Living Home Community Church
Reception // American Legion Bartonville
It was a beautiful day for a Peoria wedding! Megan and Shawn were married on a late October day in Bartonville, Illinois. I pulled up to the church and my eye was immediately drawn to some really pretty trees in the background that were the perfect shades of Fall colors. I knew we had to use that area for portraits after the ceremony. We even had some pretty golden hour light for the pictures!
After the ceremony we headed over to the Bartonville Legion. I loved all the candlelight, it made for some really beautiful lighting and background for some detail shots while setting a really romantic, ambient atmosphere. So many favorite moments from this wedding but the kiddos stealing the cupcakes cracked me up and really spoke to my soul!
Here are some of my favorite’s from Megan and Shawn’s wedding!

Congratulations again to Megan and Shawn! You were so laid back and fun to hang out with. Thank you for choosing me to be your photographer, it is always such an honor!

I was super excited when Michelle asked if I could squeeze in a quick family session with her and her girls. The Fall colors were still sooo pretty but they were starting to fade. The leaves were just starting to fall from the trees. It was the most perfect timing because within a few days, the wind and weather took almost all of this beautiful color.
Also, how cute are these girls?! They were so excited to throw leaves in the air and hang out with their Mom on this beautiful day. Leaf throwing is my favorite! I also loved the colors in their outfits, definitely on par with Fall colors.

Bringing you another fun Hello Dolly shoot today! This was my second time shooting inside a greenhouse and I’m definitely obsessed! The light is so beautiful and it was so much fun to play around in the plants. Plus, it’s always nice to be around green things and plants in the cold dreary Winter!
This property also had a beautiful red barn, a log cabin, and we lucked out with some pretty snow too! I always love working with Nikole and her super fun and adorable Hello Dolly boutique!
You can shop all the super cute and trendy clothes in the boutique by clicking here.
If you want to see more (*ahem* shop more) from this boutique, here is another shoot!
Christmas Tree Farm Mini Sessions were a HUGE success! Even though it was a really cold and wet day, we were lucky enough to get some snow which made this day seem super magical and festive. 4 families braved the cold with me and I’m so glad they did. I love all of the images I was able to capture for them 🙂 Here are some of my favorites from our day at Pine Grove Farm!
