Rustic Peoria wedding with navy blue and white color scheme
Ceremony // Living Home Community Church
Reception // American Legion Bartonville
It was a beautiful day for a Peoria wedding! Megan and Shawn were married on a late October day in Bartonville, Illinois. I pulled up to the church and my eye was immediately drawn to some really pretty trees in the background that were the perfect shades of Fall colors. I knew we had to use that area for portraits after the ceremony. We even had some pretty golden hour light for the pictures!
After the ceremony we headed over to the Bartonville Legion. I loved all the candlelight, it made for some really beautiful lighting and background for some detail shots while setting a really romantic, ambient atmosphere. So many favorite moments from this wedding but the kiddos stealing the cupcakes cracked me up and really spoke to my soul!
Here are some of my favorite’s from Megan and Shawn’s wedding!

I absolutely loved this Meson Sabika wedding! This is one of my favorite wedding venues in the Chicago suburbs. The mansion itself is gorgeous, with a fountain and tons of pretty flowers. Plus, the food is amazing!
Becky and Tom are the sweetest couple and I am so thankful for the opportunity to photograph their wedding!
Hair and makeup by Christina Marie at La Vita di Sposa.

This Warehouse 109 wedding will always be one of my all-time favorites! I remember it being a ridiculously hot day but everyone was all smiles and so excited! Jill is such a bubbly happy person that not even the heat could faze her. What I remember most from their wedding is that the entire day and night was just filled with laughter.
Another unique part of this wedding was the small and simple bridal party. Just one bridesmaid and one groomsman which made it super fast and easy to knock out bridal party photos.
If you’ve never heard of Warehouse 109, you really need to check it out! They have vintage motorcycles, an Airstream, and so many more cool and unique details to make your wedding or any event a total stand out!
Jill and Kevin even had an ice cream truck brought in from Windy City Ice Cream and they served ice cream to their guests! I mean, does it get better than that?! This was such a cool wedding!

I will always remember Christa and Alex’s Wildlife Prairie Park wedding for a few reasons but the main one being that she not only made her own wedding dress, but she also mad all 10 of her bridesmaid’s dresses! They were all soo beautiful but what I will remember most is that her wedding dress TRANSFORMED into a shorter version for the reception! How cool is that?! Christa is not only incredibly talented but she is also very sweet. I loved seeing her visions come to life on her wedding day.
Another really fun detail from their wedding is that they had hot chocolate on their very first date. I thought it was so cute that they included a hot cocoa bar into their wedding and gave mugs as their gifts. Absolutely adorable.
Here are a few of my favorites from this Wildlife Prairie Park wedding.
Congratulations again to Christa and Alex! I wish you a lifetime of happiness together!

2018 was a pivotal year for me. It was a new beginning for my business, having put my photography business on the back burner for too long. I got a slow start to the year but once my feet hit the ground, I took off running. I started new and creatively exciting projects. I have had so many clients become friends. I photographed families who have lost loved ones, knowing those images will be cherished for a lifetime. In all of this, I have truly rediscovered my calling to be a photographer.
Thank you. For trusting me with your family’s most special moments. For believing in my talent and vision. For coming back to me year after year to photograph your family. For being there supporting me along the way.
2019 is going to be my best year yet and I am so thankful to have you all with me on this journey.
